happy 2011!

People all over the internet seem to be happy that 2010 is gone. I can't remember it being especially awful, except for Haiti's earthquake, which was a public rather than a personal disaster. There were the midterm elections, but I guess I expected the Republicans to take more seats as this country has the nuttiest ideas around balance. Also Obama's election and continued residence at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue has driven a considerable portion of our most vocal citizenry right out of their minds

Maybe I've been luckier than most.

I'm not making any resolutions about posting more, though writing more is definitely on the agenda for 2011.
